I'm Writing About Northwestern Beating Io_a in a Hurricane

Coaches Do It Right - Aid Players To Win

No "W"s for Io_a - 1 Year

The Northwestern Wildcats defeated the Io_a Ha_keyes at NU 's Homecoming game on Saturday. I consider myself lucky to have seen it considering that I am in a hurricane-induced blackout back at home. It is always nice to see your team win at Homecoming - especially when you fly out to be a part of the fun.

The score? 28-17. The reality? Not as close as the score would indicate.

As one of my two or three readers noted before the game, I've taken NU's coaches to task over the two losses thus far this season. Therefore I have to congratulate the coaches on doing a very effective and elegant job against Io_a. Sometimes you win by not over thinking the situation. Great job for both coaches and players.

The win means Northwestern needs a minor miracle to win their division, which is tons better than needing a major miracle. NU must win out plus get some luck tossed their way. But it is still possible.

BTW, Hurricane Sandy is bringing out the weird in some people. Prime example - I saw someone out in the rain & gale raking leaves. It was like seeing Sisyphus himself. It was absurd.

More later - I have to save some power in my iPad.
